There is no perfect diet or perfect exercise plan

There is no perfect diet or perfect exercise plan to reach your health goals whatever they may be - weight loss, regular exercise, eating more plants, eating less sugar, more energy

Any diet or exercise regime that you can stick to long term and that you enjoy is the best way for YOU to reach your health goals

Quit following what other people say or do. Spend time finding what YOU love - the food, the movement and then it will become something you want to do regularly.

You will then become consistent, things become easy and then you will see the results ✨ consistency looks like what toy do most of the time, what gives you joy with room for error 😊

Check your vitamin D levels with your GP via a blood test
Get some subshine when it’s out
Prioritise your sleep and maximise hours before midnight
Move your body every day

Get out in nature every day
Eat fruit and veg every day

Why do my cleanse?

Most of us don’t eat enough or closer to the recommended amount of plants each week

The current recommendation is 30 different plants per week and a minimum of 4 cups per day: I know for some people not feels hard or confusing or just boring

But when you try my cleanse in a guided and safe space where i give you easy recipes that taste delicious and are full of plants it can then feel easier to see the why

I want to help you feel your best. I want you to feel more energised, lighter, nourished and happier. It’s also a good opportunity to remove refined sugar, wheat, coffee & alcohol to make more room in your diet for better choices

If you feel like you need a nudge in the right direction that is gentle with support then this is for you.

This is just 10 days of your life that allows you to focus on your diet and recognise how good you can feel when plants are the focus. We start in 6 days ✨

We know the food we choose to eat can either give you energy or take it away

At the moment it can be hard to feel motivated to eat well and its easy to make choices around food / drinks that may give us quick energy. It’s also easy to lose touch with what food makes us feel good and gives us energy.

Ive always maintained our energy levels should be our benchmark for health not the number on the scale. The number becomes less important when we know what food serves us and the weight will shift anyway as a result. I see this time and time again with clients who consistently eat well for a time and their clothes start to feel looser.

One of the reasons i created the 10 day Spring Cleanse is to give people a chance to tap into 10 days of eating real food that nourishes our body in a safe, supported and structured way.
I give you the framework to eat real food consistently and start including lifestyle practices so you can experience and feel more more connected, more energy, vitality and happiness

So it’s Spring tomorrow and I’m excited to share my 10 day Spring Cleanse is now open for registrations 🙌😃

This cleanse is about nourishing your body with real whole foods designed to help you feel energised. What are you having for dinner this week?

I’m taking the decision fatigue out of each day and committing to my menu this week.
Meal planning doesnt have to mean cooking and prepping all your meals all placed perfectly in the fridge. who has space and time for that??
It can be just knowing what’s for dinner for the week or roasting some vegetables like pumpkin that can be used for multiple meals.

When cooking for a family i believe its always a compromise to keep everyone happy.
I choose what my kids love and pimp it up with plenty of herbs and veg so it tastes good but is also nourishing and simple.

When it comes to how energised we feel each day I really believe the role of our liver is so underrated. It plays a huge part in our energy levels, how well we sleep, how bloated we are, our skin appearance, bowel movements, our mood and PMT aaand a well functioning immune system..quite a lot hey

I think its easy for us to forget how busy our liver actually is and it needs as much nurturing as our gut for our bodies to function and eliminate waste efficiently.

Eating the right foods and nutrients that support liver detoxification is something I talk regularly about in clinic. It’s not just alcohol we have to consider as there are loads of daily substances that our liver is exposed to that it needs to process.

As a way of supporting more of you with gaining increased energy I am launching my Spring Cleanse again next month which is less than 1 week away

This isn’t a juice cleanse. It’s about nourishing your body with whole foods and nutrients to support your gut and liver. This cleanse is designed so you can experience increased energy as well as guidance around reducing certain substances and foods that can take a toll on our liver

just a friendly reminder that what you choose to eat and the way you eat is the most fundamental way can demonstrate care for yourself.

In our current environment it’s easy to choose food that give us a quick rush or high which can then easily spiral into a vicious cycle. We then easily lose touch with what makes us feel good and what nourishes us

You have that choice at least 3 times per day, more than 21 times per week how you are going to nourish yourself.

when you eat a way to support your health consistently you have more energy you feel better, your mood is lighter and everything else feels easier. Making this a priority is the difference between feeling your best or not

When you think about what quality of life you want to lead - this decision about how you nourish yourself is in your hands and you get to make this decision many times a day 🙌

When you switch your mindset it can be the best decision you can make

Tofu Laksa

I had to share this dish because its one of my go to recipes when the weather is cold like this week.

I have loved laksa since forever and I have found this an easy recipe to make with tofu. I know tofu can be a bit challenging to cook well, but there are so many videos available online to help you. Also practice makes perfect right? It’s better to cook the tofu first then add back into the laksa later.

Also once you have the laksa paste and coconut milk stocked you can just throw in whatever veggies you have in at the fridge anytime.

This is a rough recipe i use with whatever veg I have
375g pack firm tofu cut into pieces (3cm)
1 jar laksa paste
extra virgin olive oil
1 zucchini, chopped into 2cm pieces
2 cups of chopped kale
1 bunch chinese broccoli chopped
1 red tcapsicum, chopped into 2cm pieces
2 cups broth/stock
1 can coconut milk
rice or udon noodles
coriander

Heat a pan to medium and add some olive oil. Add the tofu and cook until just browned and then set aside. Add the laksa paste to the pan and cook for 1 min before adding the veg, broth and coconut milk. Bring to the boil and cook for 5 minutes or until veggies are just tender. Cook the noodles according to packet instructions. Drain the noodles and add to the pan with the tofu before serving with fresh coriander.
